I’ll Always Be Your Baby

Our stories a little different dad
It’s not like all the others
We had our doubts and we had our joys
But we did it all together

You weren’t there for my first words,
You weren’t there when I first cried,
There are so many lost memories from us dear daddy,
Words can’t bring back time.

There are so many things I feel I’ve lost
When I think about the days
When growing up, being on my own
Seemed so far away.

But you were there, for my first prayer
As I knelt beside my bed.
For Hard times You were by my side,
Don’t give up, you always said.

My tears would fall, you would catch them all
What more did I need
You’d love me till the end of time
And You’d always be my daddy

I abandoned you, when I grew up
I was no longer by your side
I was alone no where to turn
My tears became empty when I cried.

I was scared but no one knew.
The feelings I had knowing I loved you.
What do I do what to choose?
My thoughts always fell back to you.

When you were there, for my first prayer
As I knelt beside my bed.
The Hard times You were by my side,
Don’t give up, you always said.

I know it seems so long ago
When I was Just your little lady
I may have grown up a little now
But I’ll always be your baby.
